Memory Magnets

A project in which I made refrigerator magnets using recorded memories from my childhood. The process began by writing down everything I could remember in somewhat chronological order. Then I created these magnets and installed them for critique. This project is ongoing and will get larger as I make more and more magnets.

New Seminar work. These are 6 x 6 inches and I'm planning on doing a series of these in preparation for my thesis show.

Installations???

Thinking about installation in the context of the body occupying a space.
Thinking about the space my father occupied.
I can see him standing in my kitchen, but was that a dream or can I see that because I know his mass and I know my kitchen as a space?
How do you represent the space a body takes up? And how do you represent that space again when that body will no longer take up that space ever again?
How does it feel to hug my father?
My arms would never reach all the way around all 350 pounds of him
Would they be 5 inches apart or a foot apart?
How do I remember what it was like to hug my father?

...things that I'm thinking about.
